Airex, Inc. produces AIREX Markets, the award-winning, independent, cloud-based marketplaces that offer financially actionable apps, information, and reports (Financial AIR™) from a large and growing list of vendors globally. Through its Airex Market Partner (AMP) program, Airex powers companies across the globe, giving their customers, clients, website traffic, and employees access to a customized online marketplace of Financial AIR, to drive partners’ revenues and profits while increasing customer engagement and retention. Buyers in the AIREX Markets get financial information that they couldn’t access before, couldn’t afford, or didn’t even know existed – instantly and conveniently, with no salespeople, no contracts to negotiate, and no attorney’s fees. Vendors generate new revenues, monetize existing products, and generate higher margins in new market segments that they cannot cost-effectively reach today.

The Role

We are recruiting talented and successful senior salespeople with high integrity. Your mission is to expand the company’s reach by adding to its roster of AMPs, and also to add to the growing list of vendors selling their products on the AIREX Markets. You will identify firms that will benefit from having their own AIREX Market — typically large firms with substantial existing customer bases that purchase and consume financially actionable apps, information, and reports. You will also work closely with large vendors to list their products on the AIREX Markets, giving them global reach and presence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage target companies in conversations about Airex’s offerings 
  • Develop your pipeline, identify targets
  • Make calls into the target companies
  • Generate, qualify, and lead new vendor and AMP opportunities
  • Build rapport with prospects
  • Write proposals
  • Lead sales presentations
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Track activity through established CRM system
  • Develop external network and ensure Airex, Inc. is visible in the marketplace

Qualifications/Profile

  • This position requires a four-year college degree from an accredited college or university
  • Track record in high-integrity sales, with experience selling financial services or technology to complex global institutions
  • 10+ years experience within financial services is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal and presentation skills for interaction with clients
  • Ability to adapt tactics to excel in a highly dynamic culture
  • High degree of self-confidence as a proven performer
  • Strong work ethic and a personal commitment to excellence, including the ability to balance multiple priorities and provide immediate response to client inquiries at all times
  • Intellectual curiosity, along with the desire to aggressively seek new challenges, close accounts, and generate revenue
  • Extremely detail oriented and well organized
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS 2013: must have advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis
  • Preference for New York and San Francisco candidates

Compensation

A full compensation package including base, benefits, MBO, commissions and the usual goodies will be provided upon closing our current round of financing (underway and being led by our NY-based investment bankers). For the immediate term pending the financing, you will initially receive an aggressive commission-only plan as well as significant and commensurate equity.

This role will be compensated on a pure commission basis, at a set percentage of revenues from any partners or vendors secured by the BDC.
